ENTRY COLLECTABLES TERMINOLOGY
Our hobby is filled with many different types of entry ephemera. It can get confusing as to what is collectable and why. Different era's offer various types of these items. We will try to explain the different types of tickets, passes and credentials that exist in the MMA world.
What is a Credential?
The credential is a card issued to an individual or organization (the “bearer”) by the Mixed Martial Arts Promotion Company (“Promoter”) for the sole purpose of providing event access to an accredited individual who has a legitimate working purpose (media or event services) in connection with the fight.
What is Temporary Credential?
A Temporary Credential grants access to the media center, press conference, and weigh-in prior to the fight.
What is a VIP Pass?
A VIP Pass is included with a special VIP ticket package offered by most MMA Promotion Companies that you can purchase for any specific fight you wish to attend. Each one includes their own unique variety of amenities, as well as access to private VIP entrances and events.
Credential Variations
There are many variations of an event credential based on each individual’s job function at the venue and areas of granted access. Variations include different color credentials, stickers, and/or bracelets that identify an individuals’ job function, associated areas of access, and access restrictions during an event. Credential types include but are not limited to:
