We are collectors
MMAstubs.com is a passion project, founded by two collectors. Our goal is to preserve Mixed Martial Arts tickets and credentials for the future of our hobby. Many of the items on our site are physically in our archives, while others are images saved for future reference. Being collectors first, we strive to promote a inclusive and educational culture, in order to grow our hobby. We do not profit, and do this for the love of what we collect.

From an early age, Henry had an affinity for the Martial Arts. Like most kids he grew up watching Bruce Lee movies, Black Belt Theater, and the Kung Fu the TV show. Later as an adult he began training in several Martial Arts disciplines including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Through BJJ he would attend MMA events in support of his training partners, and so began his passion for the Mixed Martial Arts, as well as collecting MMA memorabilia. “I collected trading cards, signed gloves, posters, but found my niche when I began collecting credentials. To me credentials were the next best thing to owning a fight worn item, which chronicled a piece of MMA history.” Through collecting circles I met Donnie Cryder and we both shared the passion for MMA, love of it’s history, and documenting it through Tickets and credentials. So MMASTUBS was born!

It was in high school, back in 1994 when Donnie first heard of MMA. From the first moment he was intrigued. Many trips to the local video store to grab VHS tapes, started Donnie on the road to explore many different martial arts. His chance encounter with a Brazilian exchange student in 1996 lead him on a path to Capoeira, eventually opening his own school in Pennsylvania. Later Donnie started to collect trading cards and fight programs, then eventually tickets, passes and credentials. The ultimate goal was to collect one of every single UFC, Pride, Pancrase and K-1 event ever. During that journey, he decided to start a website to document his collection, and share it with the world. After meeting Henry Ruiz, it was clear that both had the same vision. While Donnie primarily collect tickets, Henry collects credentials. This combined passion would create the first ever database for mixed martial arts, leading to the development of MMAstubs.com, which was founded in early 2023.
