In light of Jon Jones return to the octagon, let's talk Jon Jones DEBUT from 2008. His return, and move up to heavyweight determined his spot on the GOAT list for me. He absolutely is right there. I try to ignore the out of the octagon shenanigans and only focus on the fighters career. Some things are hard to ignore, but in the end these are cage fighters and not choir boys in the end of it.

Stand out Stats

  • Jones only loss to date came via disqualification in December, 2009. The future star was disqualified during his UFC bout against Matt Hamill, for hitting the light-heavyweight with illegal, 12 – 6, downward elbows.

  • Jones has 14 wins in UFC title fights (1)

  • In Jones first run as the UFC’s light-heavyweight champion from March, 2011 through January, 2015, he defended the title eight times. That is the fourth longest championship reign in UFC history.
